Houston-Texas 18 - 27 April 2022
Last April, some students from the Max Planck Institute in Lancenigo flew to Houston, after qualifying as Italian champions of the First Lego League, a robotics and other competition organised by Lego.
The Planck Team in Houston made it into the top ten of the world final First Lego League Challenge for the robotics competition that saw as many as 108 countries clash in the field of rail transport. The Planck Team's project centred on a new smart and green goods train, with wagons equipped with autonomous motors that, once they arrive at the destination station, are able to detach themselves or attach themselves to the locomotive still in motion, following orders managed by a central database and guided by sensors and electronic components.
Officine Cadamuro, together with other companies in the area, wanted to support this initiative by contributing to the travel and accommodation expenses of the 24 youngsters led by coach Prof. Disarò Monica, vice-coach Marco Todesco and professors Criveller Matteo and Campion Luca; the former was a former member of the team when he was a student at the Max Planck Institute.
The partnership created with the school is meant to be a praise and support for the young generation that is committed and proactive in the world of work.
